Dining FAQ
Questions before you book for the table
You are choosing a hotel by its restaurants, not by the noise around them. These answers keep to what the resorts publish, what provincial rules require, and what our desk can ask for when you want one email to cover a room and a dinner reservation.

Read this before choosing a hotel
This site ranks and profiles ten Canadian casino hotels for eating and drinking. The main list is the ranking by kitchen; the working table is the restaurant matrix; and the scoring rules sit at how we score the table. Use this FAQ for the practical questions that come before a stay: where you can eat without entering the gaming floor, when a buffet is actually published, and what a table-and-room request means.
We do not take restaurant reservations directly. When you use ask for a table-and-room, our desk asks the hotel for a room and a dinner reservation by email. The booking remains between you and the hotel or booking partner. For ownership, commissions and editorial boundaries, see how this site earns and about the kitchen desk.
Can you eat at these casino hotels without entering the gaming floor?
Sometimes, but only where the hotel publishes a location or access note. Fallsview’s Ponte Vecchio is in the Galleria Shops directly across from the Avalon Theatre, while 21 Club is accessed through the casino gaming floor. Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto lists Lobby Bar Grab & Go in the hotel lobby as all ages, while several other food outlets are on the gaming floor. Check each hotel profile before assuming access.
Do the restaurants admit minors?
We state minors only when the facts say so. Provincial casino entry ages are separate: Ontario and British Columbia are 19+, Alberta and Québec are 18+. Fallsview publishes that under-19 guests are permitted at Ponte Vecchio. Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto publishes all ages for Lobster Legend Noodle Bar and Lobby Bar Grab & Go, while Copperhorn, Casual, Chopsticks, Pizzaiolo and the gaming-floor food hall are 19+ to dine. If a resort does not publish a minor policy, we say it is not published.
Are dress codes listed for every restaurant?
No. We only print a dress code when the resort publishes one. Fallsview lists business casual for 21 Club Steak & Seafood, Ponte Vecchio and Golden Lotus, and its property rule says shirts and shoes must be worn, offensive or threatening messages are not allowed, and casual attire is otherwise acceptable. Hilton Lac-Leamy’s Aléa nightclub publishes a dress code barring caps, hoodies, shorts and sportswear. If no dress code is published, we do not invent one.
How do restaurant reservations work through this site?
Reservations are made with the hotel, not with us. Our desk can ask the hotel for a dinner reservation as part of a table-and-room request, but the hotel confirms availability and handles the booking. Some venues publish direct reservation routes, such as OpenTable or phone reservations, and we report those where the facts include them. We do not guarantee a table, a room rate, a menu, or a seating time.
What does “table-and-room” mean?
A table-and-room request means you ask our desk to approach the hotel for both a room and a dinner reservation by email. You give dates, number of guests, preferred hotel, dinner time, covers and any dietary notes you choose to share. We do not ask for card details in the form. If the hotel or booking partner has space, the booking relationship is then between you and that party.
Which of the ten have buffets?
Buffets vary sharply, and some are unclear. River Rock publishes The Chairman’s Room Lounge & Buffet, including Sunday brunch and dinner buffet hours. Grey Eagle’s Buffet is listed in the facts as open through 31 Dec 2026. River Cree lists The Kitchen Buffet Bistro. Fallsview states it does not currently operate a buffet. Caesars Windsor has no current buffet in the fetched fact sheet or tourism listing. Casino Rama’s Couchiching Court Buffet is secondary and unverified.
Is brunch published at these hotels?
Only some publish brunch clearly. River Rock lists The Chairman’s Room Buffet Sunday Brunch from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. Hilton Lac-Leamy publishes Arôme’s Sunday brunch and L’Instant breakfasts Friday to Sunday until 11 a.m. Cascades Langley lists a weekly Sunday Brunch Buffet in the Convention Ballroom starting at 11am. Where brunch is not named on the fetched pages, our profiles say it is not published.
What if I need late-night or 24-hour food?
Use the published hours, not the casino’s operating hours. Caesars Windsor’s tourism listing names a 24/7 Tim Hortons. River Rock does not publish 24-hour dining, but Chopsticks Noodlehouse runs to 3:00AM and Privé Bar to 2AM in the facts. Hilton Lac-Leamy’s L’Instant runs to 3:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Great Canadian Toronto says the hotel and casino operate 24/7, but no 24-hour food outlet is named.
Can I rely on menus, dishes and prices here?
No menu is stable enough for us to treat it as permanent. We name dishes only when the resort’s own description is in the facts, and we do not add tasting notes, chef names or prices unless the facts provide them with enough context. Menus, hours and outlet status can change after publication. For a dinner-centred stay, ask the hotel to confirm the restaurant, opening status, access route and reservation time.
Are you affiliated with the hotels, casino operators or regulators?
No. This is an independent food-and-hotel desk. It is not affiliated with any hotel, operator, OLG, BCLC, AGLC, Loto-Québec or regulator named in the profiles. The rankings are editorial and follow the published scoring method. The site may earn a commission when a reader books through links or when a table-and-room request becomes a stay, but payment does not buy a ranking position.
