Québec table check
Hilton Lac-Leamy, read from the dining pages
You come to Hilton Lac-Leamy for a hotel stay attached to Casino du Lac-Leamy, but the useful question is narrower: where can you eat without inventing a plan. The official pages verify a short, workable list: Arôme in the Hilton, Banco Bistro and L’Instant in the casino, several bars and a seasonal poolside snack bar. Québec entry age is 18+.

What is verified, and what is not
Hilton Lac-Leamy and Casino du Lac-Leamy are branded on the official site as Hôtel-Casino du Lac-Leamy. The facts split the addresses: the hotel is at 3 Boulevard du Casino, Gatineau, QC J8Y 6X4, and the casino is at 1 Boulevard du Casino, Gatineau, QC J8Y 6W3. The casino is operated by Loto-Québec; the hotel is Hilton-branded and bookable through Hilton.
For dining, the official restaurant pages give you enough to plan, but not a long resort roster. Arôme is the clear hotel dining room: the resort calls it “Seafood & Grill,” places it in the Hilton Lac-Leamy, and publishes daily hours from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Banco Bistro is on Casino Level 3 and is marked 18+. L’Instant is on Casino Level 1 and carries the late-night work, staying open to 3:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
The official pages do not list a buffet. They do publish Sunday brunch at Arôme and breakfasts at L’Instant Friday to Sunday until 11 a.m. TGV Snack Bar is seasonal and currently marked: “Closed. We’ll be back next summer.” Le Baccara is not on the official all-restaurants page as of the fact check, and its restaurant URL returns 404; treat it as closed or unverified, not as a booking target.
If you want to compare this narrower Québec roster against the larger Ontario and B.C. properties, use the restaurant matrix or the full ranking by kitchen. Our scoring method is set out at how we score the table.
How to eat two nights here
For the first night, keep the plan simple and use Arôme. It is in the Hilton, its status is open, and the resort publishes both the cuisine label and the all-day span. The resort describes Arôme as “Seafood & Grill” with “the finest grilled dishes and freshest seafood,” and it also points to a three-course “Experience menu.” Those are the resort’s words; we do not add dishes beyond them.
For the second night, Banco Bistro gives you the casino-side option. The resort places it on Casino Level 3, marks it 18+, and describes the cooking in broad terms: “rotisserie classics and innovative pizzas to perfectly grilled steaks.” Hours are not daily in the same way as Arôme: Monday and Tuesday closed, Wednesday and Thursday 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11:30 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. That makes it useful for a Friday or Saturday arrival, less so for an early-week stay.
L’Instant is the insurance policy. It is listed as “Deli & Pasta” on Casino Level 1, open Monday to Thursday 11 a.m. to midnight, Friday 9 a.m. to 3:30 a.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 3:30 a.m., and Sunday 7 a.m. to midnight. The resort publishes breakfast there Friday to Sunday until 11 a.m. For a show-night or late return, this is the only verified food outlet in the facts that reaches past midnight.
To make a room-and-table request, use the official hotel channel: book a table-and-room at the hotel. Restaurant reservations are made with the hotel or resort, not here.
Bars, brunch and the missing buffet
The bar list is stronger than the restaurant count suggests. Bar 7 is on Casino Level 2, with a multimedia wall and dance floor; the resort says live bands and DJs run every Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. until the early hours, and Latin Thursdays start every Thursday from 8:30 p.m. Bacchus bar is in Hilton Lac-Leamy on Level GH, with hours Sunday to Thursday 4 p.m. to midnight and Friday to Saturday 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. It is marked 18+ and accessible, and the resort notes a cigar smoking room adjacent, with cigars bought on site only.
Mise-o-jeu Sportsbook is also listed on Casino Level 2. The resort describes it as having “Unlimited sporting events, plenty of giant screens and a full restaurant and bar offer.” We treat that as a bar-and-food offer, not as a separate restaurant with a published menu in the facts.
Breakfast and brunch planning is direct. Arôme has Sunday brunch; the resort calls it “Arôme’s famous Sunday brunch” and says Arôme serves an extensive brunch menu. L’Instant covers “generous breakfasts” Friday to Sunday until 11 a.m. In-room dining is published from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
There is no verified buffet. That costs the hotel under our breakfast, brunch and buffet criterion, especially compared with buffet-forward properties covered in brunch and buffets. Still, a Sunday stay has a clearer morning plan than a weekday stay, because brunch is specifically named only for Arôme.
Leaving the building for food
The facts name only a small nearby-food set, so the off-property advice stays small. The hotel’s winter getaway page gives ByWard Market as 4.1 km away and describes it as offering “From handicrafts and trendy clothing, to works of art and culinary delights.” That is broad, but it is an official published nearby point. It is enough to justify leaving the property if you want Ottawa market wandering rather than another meal in the hotel-casino complex.
Tourisme Outaouais lists a “Microbreweries” category for the region, but no entries rendered on the fetched page. Because no brewery names were verified in the facts, we do not name any. This is the same restraint used in our guide to wine and beer nearby: regions can be discussed generally, named producers only when the sources name them.
Distance context is better for Ottawa than for restaurant specifics. The resort publishes that Hilton Lac-Leamy is “just a 10-minute drive from downtown Ottawa,” with ByWard Market 4.1 km, Parliament Buildings 6.4 km and Rideau Canal skateway 7.3 km. Ottawa International Airport is published as less than 28 km away, with a 25-minute car time from the airport.
Québec rules apply here, not Ontario rules across the river. The published casino age is 18+, and anyone appearing under 25 may be asked for government-issued photo ID. Restaurant access for minors is published only where facts say so; for the casino restaurants and bars here, assume access is not published unless the resort states otherwise.
Verdict
Order it when
Book if you want a polished hotel base with one clear hotel restaurant, a Sunday brunch option, and casino-side late food to 3:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Send it back when
Think twice if you require a buffet, a long destination-restaurant list, or verified named off-property breweries. The official pages do not support those plans on this pass.
Best here for Arôme, Sunday brunch and late L’Instant, not for buffet hunting.
